Jahmyr Gibbs' new Detroit Lions deal makes him NFL's highest-paid running back in history days after Bijan Robinson's Falcons contract

Jahmyr Gibbs is set to become the highest-paid running back in NFL history having agreed to a new three-year deal worth up to $75.7m (£56.3m) with the Detroit Lions.

Gibbs' agents Athletes First announced the deal Thursday, hours after he took the field for the first time since the Lions' training camp started. His agents also noted the new contract includes $51.5m (£38.3m) guaranteed for the Pro Bowler.
