AIG Women's Open 2026: TV coverage, Royal Lytham & St Annes schedule and how to watch or stream live on Sky Sports

The women’s major season reaches its climax this week at the AIG Women’s Open, with extended coverage from Royal Lytham & St Annes exclusively live on Sky Sports.

Miyu Yamashita returns as defending champion after last year's breakthrough major victory at Royal Porthcawl, with the Japanese star now looking to become the first back-to-back winner of the AIG Women's Open since Yani Tseng in 2011.

Nelly Korda is the pre-tournament favourite to claim a third major title of the season, having already won the Chevron Championship and US Women's Open, while a win would confirm her place in the LPGA's Hall of Fame and complete the career Grand Slam.

Haeran Ryu won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship and Amundi Evian Championship, leaving her chasing a third consecutive major title, while Jeeno Thitikul and Hyojoo Kim are among others chasing victory.

Charley Hull and Lottie Woad are among the home hopes to claim a maiden major and become the first Englishwoman to win a major since Georgia Hall in 2018, while this week's event is also the last in the qualification campaign to feature in Europe's Solheim Cup team this September.

Sky Sports will show more live coverage from the AIG Women's Open than ever before, with Featured Groups coverage available for the first time and live action from all four rounds...

Featured Group coverage will be available for the first time over the first two rounds, offering full coverage of the morning marquee groups, with six hours more of live action on Sky Sports than during last year's tournament.

One-hour highlights will be available at 11pm each evening on Sky Sports and repeated the following morning, while the final round will be replayed - in full - the Monday after the tournament.

The Lancashire layout is one of the most iconic on the R&A's roster, as a two-time Ryder Cup venue that has hosted The Open 11 times, while this week's tournament will be the sixth time it has held the AIG Women's Open.

The course will play over 6,601 yards as a par-71 for this year's tournament, with over 170 pot bunkers lining the fairways and the only venue on The Open roster that begins with a par-three.

This year's edition marks the 100th anniversary of when it first held The Open, won by Bobby Jones, with Bobby Locke, Peter Thomson, Bob Charles, Tony Jacklin, Gary Player, Seve Ballesteros (twice), David Duval and Ernie Els the others to have lifted the Claret Jug there.

The last two winners of the AIG Women's Open at Royal Lytham have been British, with Hall (2018) following Catriona Matthew (2009), while Sherri Steinhauer (twice) and Annika Sorenstam have also enjoyed Royal Lytham success.
