Liverpool have made contact with RB Leipzig over the potential signing of winger Yan Diomande.
It was previously been reported that the Ivory Coast international is being considered as an option by other clubs in England, including both Manchester sides.
Diomande has already spoken of interest in joining PSG, telling French news outlet Telefoot 1: "It would be a pleasure to play [in Ligue 1], with one of the biggest clubs.
"It's always a pleasure to play in France in the past. I don't think the adaptation to French football would be difficult. So why not?
"But after all, I'm a RB Leipzig player."
Asked if he was happy to see PSG win back-to-back Champions Leagues, he said: "Yes, because my dad supports PSG. So it was great for me to see them win."
And asked if he would like to play for PSG, Diomande replied: "Yeah, I like them a lot."
The winger signed for Roc Nation Sports earlier this year. However, it is understood that Maxidel Management have taken the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), arguing that they still hold the representation rights for Diomande and RB Leipzig have given them the mandate for his transfer.
"Everything went fast," says Yan Diomande. Indeed, it is extraordinary now to think that this time last year Diomande's entire senior career amounted to half a dozen starts for Leganes at the back end of last season as they were relegated from LaLiga.
He scored in two of those six games, against Espanyol and Valladolid. Even his team did not find the net in the other four. But the teenager did enough to persuade RB Leipzig to part with €20m to bring him to the Bundesliga. Once there, he has been a revelation.
Thrilling to watch and impossible to defend, Diomande is lightning, full of unpredictable enterprise. He has the things that cannot be coached and by listening to the things that can he is getting better. The very biggest clubs want him. The rest cannot afford him.
