Ireland seal historic maiden series victory against T20 world champions India, after thrilling one-run win in Belfast

Ireland sealed a historic first series victory in any format against India with a thrilling one-run win in the second T20 international in Belfast. 

It has been a monumental week for Irish cricket, with the men's team claiming their first-ever T20I victory against India in the opening game of the two-match series.

That result came just a day before Ireland's women's team secured their first victory at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup against West Indies on Saturday.

Sensationally, it was also India's first T20I series defeat since their loss against West Indies in August 2023.

Ireland captain Lorcan Tucker was lost for words at the magnitude of his side's win.
