Conah Walker produced a thrilling stoppage win over Sam Eggington to strengthen his reputation as one of Britain's most exciting fighters.
Walker halted his Midlands rival with a sustained assault in the 10th round as the referee Steve Gray stepped in to prevent more punishment as Eggington staggered forward on unsteady legs.
Eggington's superior experience appeared to show in the early rounds as the former European champion appeared to edge some brutal exchanges at Civic Hall in Wolverhampton.
But Walker took command in the eighth as a crunching body shot sent Eggington crumpling to his knees on the canvas.
Walker would then deliver a dramatic finish as he stiffened Eggington's legs with a right hand and then unloaded a fierce flurry that forced the referee Gray to stop the fight.
This victory further boosts the profile of Walker, who delivered a stunning final-round knockout of Pat McCormack in his previous bout.
On the undercard, Bilal Fawaz retained his British and Commonwealth super-welterweight titles with a ninth-round stoppage of Ryan Kelly.
Fawaz engaged in outrageous showboating while overwhelming Kelly with his blistering hand speed and the referee waved it off as the Birmingham man sat down dejectedly on his stool.
