Kin & Ledger respects the work of genealogists, archivists, authors and photographers. The guides, explanations and graphics on this site are written and drawn for it. Coding rules, calendar dates and inheritance probabilities are facts; where we describe a published method, such as the Soundex rules or survey results on shared DNA, we summarise it in our own words and cite the source. We do not reproduce copyrighted family trees, record images, indexes or published pedigrees.

Filing a Notice

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, email logan.luo@adsnova.cn with:

• A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
• The URL of each page where the material appears
• Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address
• A statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner
• Your physical or electronic signature

Our Response

We review complete notices promptly, remove or disable access to infringing material where appropriate and contact you if more information is needed.

Counter-Notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice identifying the material and its former location, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was mistaken, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.

Repeat Infringement

We may take further action against repeated, credible infringement. Knowingly false notices may expose the sender to liability. This page is not legal advice.
