Danny Kerry’s side followed up their wins over Spain and Argentina thanks to two goals from Sophie Bray and one apiece from Alex Danson and Georgie Twigg.
Danson opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a diving effort to deflect in Kate Richardson-Walsh’s penalty corner for her 35th GB goal, putting her second on the all-time list.
Canada levelled against the run of play in the 20th minute through Stephanie Norlander, but Britain were back in front four minutes later when Twigg pivoted and fired home after Kaitlyn Williams had saved Laura Unsworth’s penalty corner.
It was 3-1 in the 35th minute when Bray pounced on another penalty corner from Richardson-Walsh and lifted the ball home.
The fourth GB goal arrived with six minutes remaining when a fine run and cross from Susie Gilbert set up Bray for her second goal.
Canada grabbed a consolation goal right on the final whistle when Brienne Stairs struck.
Britain are top of their pool ahead of Tuesday's final group game against China.
The top four sides go through to the knockout stages, from where the first three will then qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
