New York Yankees' Alex Rodriguez tied Willie Mays with his 660th home run

Rodriguez's solo shot over the Green Monster in the eighth proved to be the difference between the sides.

Mark Canha got the ball rolling with his third home run of the season, before Eric Sogard got home thanks to a Stephen Vogt RBI.

With the bases loaded Josh Reddick singled to centre, with two getting home to make it 5-4 before Brett Lawrie doubled home two runs and Canha singled to centre for 7-5.
